Tange 1 seems slightly adventurous for a frame this big, but if the price is right.....

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...174820327.html

Centurion Ironman Expert Dave Scott - $150 (Seattle)

Selling this vintage beauty featuring Shimano 105 components and 105 brakes with SLR. Very lightweight at only 23 lbs, 1/4 oz, this things glides like a swan in a pond.

Perfect for riding with your lover on a warm sunny day or just alone by yourself. Should note it can be ridden all seasons - only wanted to share a brief visual of how I would like to ride it.

Front/rear brakes work great and is surprisingly easy to push up these steep Seattle hills, all things considered.

Made in Japan, designed in the USA.

Asking $150 OBO.

Zeus (!) with what looks like a Zeus Criterium derailleur. Really unusual to see here. I *think* that's a butted Reynolds 'A' tubing decal, and not 531.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...172329369.html

Zeus Road Bike - $300 (Bellevue)\

Rare vintage (late 1970's) Zeus road bike
Original except for 700c period-correct wheels
Size: 54 cm ctc. 55 cm ctt; 30 1/2" standover height
Top tube 20 1/2"
Reynolds frame- no cracks or dents
Components are all functional
Can be ridden as-is, but should be refurbished

I added up their stated frame and fork measurements (fraction of ounces...) and then added in a Tange Levin headset's weight to compare it to my usual frame/fork/headset combo weight recordings I've done of my frames throughout the years. 2778g is pretty darn light. My lightest lugged steel bike is my 66cm Land Shark with a F/F/HS weight of 2875g, and that's with a steerer tube that could have 10mm shaved off of it. This was a production bike from a well-known brand--they weren't going to make it weak in the big sizes. If anything, I'll take thin tubing at tall sizes because it makes the bike more lively and helps smooth out the road. My Land Shark is full Prestige, and it's both comfortable and responsive/playful. I'm not scared of it, and neither should anyone else be (because I'm not dead from them, yet!). People should raise an eyebrow at all the high end 653/753/853/100,053 crazy-thin wall Reynolds stuff after this era, though I find it interesting that almost no one made 64cm or taller frames out of it. Of course that was the '90s and '00s where essentially all production builders (and most custom builders as it well, it seems) stopped at 60, or 61cm frame sizes (with those steels, as well as aluminum and carbon), inexplicably. Dark days for us giraffes...

Miyata 1000, not sure of the year. Looks like a good starting point for a touring build if you haggle down.
I don't have link / image permissions so fill in the parentheses. I'm right nearby this bike but it's not my size and I wouldn't take the work to flip it, even in this inflated market.

Miyata Elevation MTB. Seller says touring but the catalogs are all online. Not a bad price for a project base.

Still available, and all original according to the seller. Someone convince me I don't need another '86 Ironman, 54cm, differing only in paint color from the one I've been modifying *away* from original!

Cool frame as we know but is it just me or would you not bother to at least knock down the bright orange rust in the BB for the photo shoot, especially if you're going to ask what I think is plenty close to top $$$$$?

I know it could be mostly superficial but still.
