Wellgo WR1 vs Xpedo Spry vs Tipsum Mg-Blade

I've been using Wellgo WR1 on my Roubaix until I get brave enough to mount the Frogs again. I thought the lightweight WR1 would be too small a platform for my city/gravel Diverge, so have been using big (but light) Xpedo Spry. Problem is that it's difficult to slide my shoes into proper position on these big platforms, and I find myself pedaling further out from the crank even after centering fore and aft.
So maybe I'll try the WR1 in dense city areas too....
A quick search unearthed these Tipsum Mg-Blade SMALLER, thin, platform pedals that weigh a scant 164g/pr (!), but have pins and a squarer geometry than the WR1...so I've ordered them, not knowing they'll take an eternity to arrive from Asia.
Anyone have experience with these cheap, ultralight Tiksums? Ti spindle, mag body of only 80x80x17mm.
If they're crap I'll just get another set of WR1 in the meantime.
Thanks a bunch.

Why do you fear your frogs. If you are talking about Speedplay Frogs I suggest you set up in a door way or next to a work bench so you can hold onto something and practice getting in and out of your pedals without looking. It may help to face a TV while you do this.

If your feet don't stay where you want them on flat pedals but you refuse to clip in .... well, maybe the pins on the Tipsums will help.

I could see using flat pedals if you frequently needed to put a foot down with the style of riding you did, but .... well, city/gravel could mean anything. Flats in bad traffic can be a great safety option. Gravel ... is it flat gravel hard-packed single-track, loose gravel?

I tend to prefer clipping in, but it is important to keep one's cleats tight and pedal tension proper---i find I need to make adjustments/ do maintenance fairly often on two-bolt pedals. i think the two bolts don't support the torque of unclipping as well as three-bolt designs.

Read the pdf manual and look at YouTube videos for your Speedplay Frogs. Than practice inside until you can get in and out of them without looking at them. You always look straight ahead where you are headed and not at your pedals, shifters or even the scantly clad individual selling 50 cent hotdog for 10 bucks a pop.

Now there are some Magnetic pedal-shoe combinations... cleat on shoe a steel piece. so walking wear is negligible

also has no effect on relessing or hooking up...
