FS: Gios Compact Pro 56 cm
$1100 + shipping from 22903
This is a 1995 56 cm square Gios Compact Pro with the famous adjustable rear dropouts. TIG welded (and nicely so) from Deda steel. 8 speed Campy Chorus group. Very nice condition Vento wheelset. If buyer isn’t so into the bling effect, I can come up with another box section wheelset and thereby lower the price some. The album has some pictures with the Ambrosio Giro D’Italia set which were on the bike when I got it. I will strongly consider shipping (but not selling) the Vento wheels separately to avoid denting them. I will also sell without wheels.
Frame is an 8.5-9/10. A few touch up spots and taking the pics today I see what might be a small rust spot on the edge of the Gios logo. It feels flat and I didn’t want to damage the decal so left it alone, which I will continue to do if I keep the frame.
This bike is fast! For some reason I was recently looking up ride times on a couple of my regular routes and the Gios put up some of my faster ones out there. That being said it’s not getting much use as the 53-39 front 13-26 back means it only gets ridden when the legs feel spicy and that isn’t happening as much these days.
Just a note, there is a vinyl protector on the ds chainstay, the chrome is in very nice condition.
