Hello from California via NY
Hi everyone! I’ve been coming here a lot recently and figured an account would be helpful.
I’m a college student from NY taking some time off to work in California. I was very into “biking” (more casual than cycling) when I was younger. I’d ride around town and explore but never really got into more technical things. Since I arrived in CA I’ve fallen back in love with cycling, partly because I don’t have a car and mostly because it’s plain fun.
I’m mostly commuting and leisure riding right now but I’m interested in doing some touring when time permits. Learning maintenance and repair skills is also high on the list.
I’ve got the bug and was fortunate enough to make some good finds, so I’ve got three bikes in my garage now: a vanilla Fuji hybrid, a 70s Raleigh Competition, and an 80s Specialized Sequoia I can’t stop thinking about.
I’m excited to dive deeper!
