New Member in the UK!
Hello!
My name is Carla and I just found this forum and I'm looking forward to learning from the posts and experience of everyone here.
I recently got my first folding bike (which is actually my first ever new bike, at the age of 34) to try and simplify my commute from Sussex into London, 3 days a week. I have the Raleigh Stowaway and I'm mildly obsessed with it.
Previously I've been cycling to the station on a bike I was given by my Dutch godmother, which is a Claud Butler Legend. It's nothing amazing to look at, and my sister had it for a while before me and abused it so I've tried to look after it as best I can without spending too much on it. Sadly, due to how busy trains into London are though I had to leave it at the station every day and lost a lot of time doing the lock up and get to the platform routine, hence the new folding bike! And now my husband wants me to sell the other one :-(
