Sorry if I came off as not beliving you but at first glance I thought it was an al frame.
If I were to just add all my components and frame my bike comes in, minus computer, at 15.11. Weight at the LBS on a digital scale it comes in with computer at 17.9oz. I found the same to be true of my LOOK. When I did the build at WrenchScience to check the weight it was 16.4oz but that bike came in at 17.5oz on digi scale.

I'll never figure out guys who put every little part of a bike on a spreadsheet- and then wonder why the stupid finished bike weighs MORE than their computer said it would. I'll tell you why:
• Unless you personally weighed every last part, don't bank on manufacturer's weight claims. They tend to err on the lighter side 90% of the time and all those grams add up.
• Does that factor in cable housings, grease weight, etc? And are you CERTAIN you put in every last item that's going on the bike? Handlebar tape? Bar end plugs? See what I mean?
Just weigh the bike. And forget about it.
On the Cannondale Six13's looks: I think the bike would be gorgeous if it wasn't for those overblown, obnoxious and mind bendingly ugly 4" high CANNONDALE and SIX13 decals all over it. Man, that's ugly. But I do like the look of the frame. That's the #1 cosmetic issue with Cdale bikes. They seriously need to get a new decal scheme. You know, something remotely TASTEFUL? Never happen.
Besides, I really love the bike for how it performs. That other stuff is foo foo fodder to me. I love Cannondales for being the anti-Colnago. If that's all they do, it's enough for me : ).

So - what would be the difference in the weight of the wheels with flat tyres (1 atmos) compared to their weight when the tyres are at 125 psi (9 atmos)???

Hey, I don't have to LOOK at my Six13, I just have to RIDE the damn thing. And I'm loving it for that. Besides, the whole idea is that your riding companions generally only get to look at the Six13 from BEHIND. Doesn't always work out that way of course. But that is the plan. That's why they call it bicycle RACING you see : ).
Besides if everybody else likes how the Cannondale looks - that's perfect. They admire it, I ride it, and we're all happy. And C'dales are the ultimate Foo Fighter bicycle to be sure. Damn Colnagos. Somebody shoot me. Hollow point Ti bullets only please....

Gotta ditch the wire cages though; they look so out of date on today's bikes.

Anybody got one older than this 1984 sport/touring Cdale that I've converted to a commuter? The Brooks Pro saddle is not original with the bike, but I have used it for sommuting since 1986. Gotta love the half-step gearing and Blackburn rack and cages! The Shimano 600 group is actually pretty sweet.

I'm not sure what's uglier, the Cannondale decals on my Six13 or the big honkin' PREMIUM decal on the fork. God help me it's so cheesy. I thought the bike was so damn brutal looking that I almost passed on it. And I generally could give a crap about how a bike looks. But I have to admit the bike rides so sweet I just don't care. And underneath those butt ugly graphics it's actually very handsome. That bike frame looks like it means business. Nothing foo-foo about a Cdale - which totally trumps any concerns I may have for the dopey decals.
Are Cannondales ugly? Sure. Do they have bling? None whatsoever. But you couldn't GIVE me a friggin Colnago or some of those other idiot fat-dude-in-lycra specials.

Six13 owners - did your LBS install an inline gear indicator, or at least give you the option? How about those rubber tube protectors on the rear brake cable?
Should these items be included at no charge?

My 1988(?) Cannondale Criterium converted to a single-speed. I bought the frame for $70 thinking that that was all I was going to get. Little did I know when I went to pick the frame up that it still had an o.k. wheel set on it (minus tires) and a pair of Sora brifters on it (the original shift levers were gone). One of the crank arms was also missing and broken cables were still attached to the shifters. It looked really sad actually. I had the LBS convert it to a SS for me (BMX freewheel hub and Surly Singulator for managing chain tension) and true the wheels, added some nice tires, wrapped the bars, replaced the brake pads, and now it's one of my favorite bikes to commute on. Oh yeah, and it's fast and handles like a dream!
