80's kit help

Is anyone able to show me a jersey or the jersey that would pair with these shorts:

Made by R. Ando Mfg
It seems that Shimano-branded kit featured the navy-blue-green colors from the mid-eighties to the mid- nineties, but I haven't seen examples of this pattern. Is anyone able to show some examples of what might pair with this?

Are those simply crew/team shorts, not padded cycling shorts?

Not to my knowledge. There's a synthetic chamois sewn in. Maybe they're Tri shorts?

No skid marks here.

What I found

Here are a few jerseys on Ebay using a similar colorway:

Includes yellow, green is different shade, dissimilar pattern, no Dura Ace branding.

Using same colorway, no Dura Ace branding. Dissimilar pattern

Similar colorway, dissimilar pattern, no Dura Ace branding.

Agreed, that also came up in the search, but was listed in 2017 . Long gone...

Any other vintage enthusiasts?

I know there are plenty of folks who maybe owned a store or raced in the 80's. I picked the shorts up from a stash posted by marymck, reportedly from a cycling equipment sales rep. I didn't see a jersey to complete the kit, unlike the super snazzy Pearl Izumi merino thermal Jersey and knickers I found (trés confortable! Élégant!). R. Ando Mfg doesn't show up on the internet anywhere. More ideas are welcome! Except for the campy stuff; I'm not wealthy enough for that.

It is an attractive bit of kit, isn't it? Flocked merino too. I'm fine with the tricot short sleeved versions though, I'm just not sure if the white, and shimano tricolor versions I see would fit the scheme. Current design would cue with more horizontal stripes, maybe just on the sides. I can't find a thing about this kit though.

Sure looks like the Road America logo. They've been known to do bike rides on the track.

With no web presence besides a manta listing, I'm not sure a phone call will get me anything, but I can try!

It may be listed as 2017, but it says Dura-Ace EX, which refers to the 2nd generation group manufactured during 1978-1984.

You misinterpreted me. I said it was listed in 2017; the sale happened 3 years ago. It was likely from the era you listed.

Looking at the addresses listed on the clothing, maybe I'm looking for a person. Both addresses are on Long Island, 7 minutes distant, and one of them is a residential address.
I found three other listings on Ebay, but nothing responsive.
I might just have to have clashing kit.

So I wore the shorts yesterday and was pleased with the ventilation capacity that the thin pad provided in the heat. That got me started on looking for the business on the tag. I had already determined that the address on the tag pointed to a residence in Suffolk county. A little public records research confirmed that it was sold by someone with that last name in 2016. More public information gave me a name: Rosario Ando, listed as deceased in 2000 in the SS death index.

If you have more information about Mr. Ando's enterprise during mid-eighties, I'd like to know about it. I'm no longer going to hold my breath over a matching jersey or singlet, it seems any early shimano tri-color-branded jersey should work. I'll have an easier time adding dura-ace to one of my bikes.

there was one that was an Italian XL 18.5 ATA. That was snapped up, so I didn't get to figure out if I can squeeze into it.

There's always more.
