FS: 1986 Raleigh Portage (51cm C-T)

I picked this 1986 Raleigh Portage up a few years ago from the original owner who purchased it in Anchorage, Alaska and used it on a handful of tours with the American Lung Association and for pleasure riding around the great, white north. It is a gorgeous bicycle in very nice shape. I'm confident it will clean up incredibly well. It comes with no dings, dents, significant rust or otherwise. Except for one item—the downtube shift bosses. They seem to have been purposefully removed. I still haven't figured out why but this post made it all seem pretty benign and the solutions provided were cheap, easy and straightforward.

Bone stock with everything the factory spec'd for it in 1986, it measures out at 51cm (C-T) seat post and 54cm (C-C) top tube. It will also come to you with the original 1986 owners manual and Raleigh hang tag. Both extremely cool additional items of prestige.

Despite how rare the first, "mass produced" 650b bike has become, this is what winter projects are made of and I've got plenty of those to keep me busy, so this one must go.

Price: $ SOLD $
Cash or Venmo accepted.
At this time, I am hopeful for a local sale so no shipping is offered. I am located in Corvallis, Oregon. But, I will potentially be in Portland in the coming weeks so delivery to close-in PDX is possibility.
However, if you are interested and shipping is the only way, please PM me. Let's at least start the discussion.

Don’t see these pop up too often. Another 7-9 cm and I’d be doing some rationalizing. Nice bike and GLWS.

Another 5-6 cm here. Why, oh why, are all the vintage Raleighs I want either too big or too small?

Damn, I've always wanted to drink the 650B Kool-Aid and it's in my size, but I'm no longer in Oregon!

Being nestled in between two cycling meccas (Portland and Eugene), the chances aren't impossible that I'll find a buyer locally. But I'm certain I'd kick open the door if I offered to ship this one.
I'll reach out if a little time goes by with no takers in the area. I'd be great to find a C&V'er to be the keeper of this flame.

What is the tt lenght? And stand over?

oops: sorry I see you already posted the tt length. But still curious about stand over if it's not too much trouble.
