Could be major repercussions for the C&V gang.

Anybody who would use nail polish to touch up their bike would use shampoo to wash it.

Yeah, I somewhat agree it's a bad idea. I normally prefer the patina (with a clear coat), unless you can achieve a really great match AND apply it so it doesn't look stupid. Also, nail polish is often lacquer, which can be really difficult to apply without looking gloppy. But I believe Revlon does make an enamel nail polish.

The last time I used nail polish on a bike was a clear color to strengthen embroidery thread used to finish bar tape. That got too complicated (and basically stupid), so I just went back to the simple black tape Fizik bundles with their bar tape.

I've never used colored nail polish (as a lot of people have and reported success) but I have used clear polish to cover up chips to prevent rust. Works pretty well. I don't think my brand is Revlon though.

Glad I stocked up on some of the better colors.

I find their touch up paint (er...nail polish) to be a tad pricey. My limit is $4 and it better be an exact match!

Had me laugh. Went to my friend's garage sale. He said it was all his daughter's stuff she was selling for some college cash and I wouldn't find anything. Well, I got two chocolate chip cookies and some matching metalflake polish for my Waterford.
