That bottle is probably worth twice the $25 ask for the whole bike.

Glad neither are closer.
You might be interested in a couple of mine when the time comes. I passed on the very nice Riviera GT (so far) because it is only a bit shorter than my own tourers.

You’re right, I haven’t the foggiest idea what this frame is! I was just feeling relieved that I hadn’t hauled home another project with bad paint! In my amateur attempt at frame ID, I did think the chainstays looked like other pics of BJ’s, but I didn’t see any rack or fender eyelets, on the frame, and thought that was odd with canti brakes. Also, the fork crown looks like my Raleighs, but again, I’m in no position to be questioning the claims of a Craigslist seller who can’t defend themselves here!

It’s still for sale, maybe I should call and ask some questions?

If the frame is straight and you want cantis and they are positioned well for your chosen wheel size it might be a nice frame. The lugs are decent which means the tubes probably are too. It's just that the add and the pics don't jibe. The chain is way to long but it shifts well? I see nothing on the frame that screams bob Jackson but then I only own one bob Jackson. It may be a nice deal but caution is warranted.

I bought this one earlier today. Alas, the spare wheelset is currently in the seller's rented storage facility, as the movers took the wheels when they shouldn't have. On the bright side, the seller is moving to my county, so at some point I will get a text to come collect them. I wound up paying $40 as a gesture of good will. I think I'll have fun with this one, but again - why I am finding so many lovely 1988 bikes this year?

Because no sane person sells a Team Miyata. If that was 56/58cm it would list for $900+
