I'm starting to wonder about Jdawg. A few rules violations and a redeeming stepping back so the BOC could move with out going through the Postal Service. At this time I am willing to bend the rules to get him a BOC sticker for his build. At this time I am seeking to find the sticker as a decal at a few places. It may be that we can ask the original maker of the stickers to re-create them, but it is not sure that it can be done. The number of stickers is declining and I am trying to update the supply.

The box had already been packed and bid adieu. I'd agree, judging by the general appearance, that the sticker supply could use a refresh. I didn't take any. The Box is back in the hands of the USPS, on its way to @mcgregorj in all of its glorious abundance.

@RaleighSport made the originals, and replenished them as well. His last post to the forums was a 1 1/2 years ago.

Any graphic designer-ish people want to scan one and recreate? I have an extra I could mail to someone. Once the artwork is done I'd be happy to contribute and pay for 100 new ones and mail to next in the crap line.

I suggested the same thing to MH. Something akin to a chicken instead of a dove on a Columbus...in lime green.

Even though the new designs may be a bit more fashionable or eclectic, this is a C&V game, so it will remain the old design sticker. With only a few more pictures sent and received the stickers may be in production. After verification I will make note of them here. Meanwhile new players need to sigh up for the game! The box has arrived in New Jersey once again! I told myself I would wait, but couldn't resist digging in and poking around. Thank you to the Crapmaster and prior Crappers for cleaning out the true junk - this is going to be way easier to re-pack than the last time I had it, which looked like this:

The refurbished and updated Box O' Crap frame stickers have been created and are soon to be in production. When they are ready there will be a reveal here in the BOC thread and they will be sent to the next in line for the Exalted "Box O' Crap" for distribution. The crap is headed west! Dropped it at the post office this afternoon. Here was my take:

To: All Crap-A-Teers!
Having been appointed CrapMaster, Be it hereby known that the Box O' Crap frame stickers have finally been updated and the new design is revealed in this missive.
After much discussion among former CrapMasters, with the help of a design engineer the updates required slight changes to the old design. Having had requests that the old design be retained, it was not available to find the original artwork. So there is a nod to the original but a few updates to bring the stickers into the 21st century. You will note the USPS priority logo is still in the decal as it should be. (We couldn't play with out the flat rate box.) And the winged wheel is still on the sticker as a tip of the cap to the League of American Wheelmen without whose help we might not have the paved routes to ride that we share today. The original text has been retained as it was.
The changes are: To the outer red band that encircles the sticker to give it more of a standard bicycle frame decal look. The band is a throwback to the red lines top and bottom of the USPS shipping box. As should be noted in the first design iteration.
And a change to include the Bike Forums URL where the Exalted Box O' Crap resides.
A note of special thanks to ascherer for his design expertise and help in creating this updated sticker.
These changes are done in accordance with the rules of the game and the power given to me as CrapMaster. And so they shall now be implemented and be the official BOC sticker. New stickers will be issued to the box at its next stop.

There will be some destructive testing of the stickers to test resistance to different clear coats and that shall be reported when it happens.

As a note of clarification about the above decals for BOC Crap-A-Teers,
I have produced this sticker on a 6 mil vinyl base that is easily applied and does not create large edges after installation. The material is about like the material of some bike frame decals from the factory. Once the membership of the BOC sees them they should like them a lot. Smiles, CrapMaster Honk

I did say destructive testing didn't I? Today I used the Reg Harris frame to test the way the vinyl backing and ink would hold up to some different clear coats. The decal is next to a Reynolds one that the frame already had so you can judge the size of the decal installed. The results:

Clear coat with a urethane paint. No running of the ink and a good clear seal. Note the Reynolds decal for size comparison. The 2K clear coats are urethane based and should cover well but being the cheapo I am, I didn't buy a $30 can to test.

This was with a lacquer based clear coat. It may not show up well, but the reds have bled a bit and left a hazy yellow surround where the red ink is. I put the clear on heavy so It would show any problems. It might not bleed through if using very thin coats to build the clear up.

The new decals are going out today to be included at the next stop. I will be back to the print shop to fill out a few hundred decals to keep a well stocked Box O' Crap. Smiles, CrapMaster Honk

It looks like the liner did it's duty and protected the Crap inside the box. If you would please hammer the dents out of the liner before it moves on. The aluminum should be able to take it, I used the same sheets of metal we use on the stock car (and it gets beat up every race and we beat it back out). It appears that the Postal workers dropped it on the corner. Smiles, CrapMaster Honk
