Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The first one is the "Toll Road". It's dirt and the last time I climbed it (years ago) it was very rough and rocky but I looked at a recent video and it looks to be rideable for gravel type bikes. I don't know the stats but it's a lot of climbing in a short distance. Oops, the link says 5000+ feet in 15 miles.

The second one is Angeles Crest, highway 2. The link ends, turns around at Clear Creek, which is the intersection with Angeles Forest highway. The top of Wilson is about 10 miles further.

An alternate to climbing the lower section of AC would be to travel north on Foothill blvd to Mount Gleason ave to Big Tujunga to Angeles Forest to Angeles Crest.

On workdays people use Angeles Forest to Angeles Crest to get to L.A. from the desert. So commuters would be descending Angeles Crest in the morning in what is described as "The Palmdale 500".

Noise?

Got it. Thanks. I may have more questions as my trip gets closer. Fingers crossed the weather allows me to summit some of the climbs there like Baldy. It looks like daytime high temps there are running around 40F which is tolerable, as long as the roads don't have snow on them.

If your levels are normal, there may be no need.

Are everyone's levels normal?

What is "normal" or "optimal" D level is very controversial. And many of us think a low D is a marker for poor health rather than being a "vitamin deficiency." Vitamin D is not even really a vitamin, it's a hormone.

Bottom line is that it's complicated and the answers to you questions are not clear.

Of course. Like how they don't know if microbiome variations cause disease or are the effect of disease.

Such is the stuff witch doctory is made of!

I think being gay and being a feminist are two separate things.
