I like this frameset (and $1099 for a frameset isn't really all that weird; and how many sliding dropout throughaxle 1x framesets are there right now?)
It would even scratch a drop bar SS itch I have right now, too, but that color... ugh.

You may agree or not but I believe the coarse welds are Salsa's way to make a statement that cosmetics should not matter, focus on functionality...

Just saw one of these in the wild recently. I'd probably never go for one as I'm a steel guy, but I think it's a pretty cool package, and the color to me is weird enough to make it..interesting. I like that it comes as a dingle--that's pretty neat. Nice that the stock gearing is actually something you could ride some hills with.
