They needed a few exclamation marks after this sentence. “Front and back brakes system with handles for each on the handlebar.”

Is that the “death fork”?

I wondered that too about the fork. If it is that could provide a lot of room for price negotiation. It’s from an estate sale, so seller doesn’t know much about the bike. My size, but out of my wheelhouse of Japanese steel and a little too far away for me to be interested anyway.

Heard back from the seller, non-magnetic. Definitely the death fork. I let them know what they have.

Can't imagine anybody faking those SS caps but you never know, lots of NJS here and what could be a # hanger, maybe a keirin, that's an even bigger deal on one of these.

FWIW, this bike is in Normal, IL (roughly halfway between Chicago and St. Louis) , not NYC -- I think the FB poster screwed up the location.

FWIW, the Soma Buena Vista tops out at 58 cm. This Rivendell Clem is a 64 cm step-through. I do not know of any other step-through this big sold in the USA. If you're 6' or taller and looking for a step-through this is for you.

Well sure, you can stop and pick that one up too, on the way.
