What is the most gratifying triumphant euphoric "money shot" of your ride?
Please describe the best part of your ride? A triumphant downhill ending to a ride,
a spectacular view, what part of your ride is borderline euphoric ?
For me, there is a steep downhill that leads to a major red light intersection.
There is a light at the top of the hill, and they are synched.
So, when I get the green, I build up speed, fly down the long hill, can see the green light all the way down,
and it feels like I am flying above the entire intersection like a hangglider.
I fly thru the busy intersection to end my ride, and it is glorious !!!

Is there some sort of contest, where a bunch of forum members created socks, and they're trying to see who can start the most useless threads?

Well, one obvious sock just got banned, but the mods still haven't caught on to CheGiant.
But yeah, these half-wit headcases are kind of dragging the place down. The worst part of this thread is the gross misuse of the term 'money shot.'

I was pretty sure Larry was also a sock, until recently, but if so, at least that one is very creative and entertaining.

When I was a little kid and saw the dentist, it was just a bit ironic that when the filling was completed he offered either a cheap toy or a piece of candy.

As for the second part, I totally agree. Was expecting a request for great photos of bikes. But I guess that would have required the OP to post one of his, perhaps while doing HIIT with a golf club.

I would think this thread is the biggest waste of money biking.

The one of me sitting down and having a beer afterward.
Twenty-something years ago, by a mix of hard work, good timing, and the unexpected and very kind influence of a person I barely knew, I got a slot in a road team, and a chance to race in Southern Europe for a season. It was great fun, and I got to improve my Spanish quite a lot.
The greatest moment of my cycling life was a one-day race in Southern France. On that particular day, I was feeling especially good, and got together with a few other riders who were feeling hungry. A breakaway occurred early in the race, and around the halfway mark my “friends” and I pulled off the main group and pushed hard.
There were 5 of us (soon to be 4), and we kept the pace well enough that we began to pick up stragglers from the breakaway. In the last 2km we caught the last few riders, only one of whom was able to tag onto us.
In the last 1km there were only 3 of us, and it crossed my mind that I had a chance to win. I was a fair sprinter, and the finish was flat as a board. There was a little cat-and-mouse stuff, and then the full-on sprint, with the finish line just ahead. At the very moment I thought I was going to win, the guy whom we had picked up from the breakaway edged past me on the left.
But he earned it, and second place in a real race in Europe was not something to scoff at (though I was more than a little pissed at the time). I never did that well in a race again, but doing well once is better than never doing well.

Best part of my ride is when I jump off it at the end and end the ride on Strava. Not that I dislike riding, but it's the feeling of accomplishment along with the endorphins I'm feeling, plus thinking about the places I just went and all the neat things I saw along the way. The longer the ride, the better the feeling. Sort of "I just accomplished another 40 miles on my bike" kind of thing. The feeling is even better when people are amazed that you rode that far and say things like, "Wow, I couldn't even ride one mile on a bike."
