The owner stress tested the frame and painted the bike according to how much stress was being put on the various areas. The hotter the color, the more stress in that area. Not really jackass, just kinda cool.

Also, I met this guy at a car show here in Santa Cruz a couple days ago. Got a picture of his bike too.

I really hope I get an e-mail back from this craigslist guy. Mostly because I want to save this bike from a life of torment. They might as well be rolling that Sarah McLaughlin song in the background while I read the ad.

Honestly, if you are going to cover chainstays in leather, at least use a Gates belt drive so you don't have a greasy chain to contend with. Yes, I get the larger practicality issues at play here, just saying.
