Gardin Tour - Unknown Year

I’m looking for a project to turning into a touring / racing bike for next year. Originally I had stumbled on a Bottecchia Professional, likely late 60s, and while it was a beautiful frame I could see a number of headaches.

The owner also had this bike, a clean Gardin Tour with 700x42c with cantilever brakes. It ended up coming home with me. Shimano Altus C10 groupset with Exage brakes

I've never met a Gardin I didn't like and that's no exception. Yours looks to be a later model. Perhaps @T-Mar could give us some input. Serial number and component model and dates are always useful.

for the life of me I can’t find a serial number on this bike, but I can’t find one on my Gardin road bike either. No word on specifics for metal, 26.2 mm seat post but this is a large frame which might warrant some reinforcement.

Altus C-10 places it 1993-1994. There's mention of a Gardin Tour C-10 in one of my old Canandian Cyclist magazines, stating a 1993 MSRP of $722 CDN. A 26.2mm seat post would typically be in the realm of a lightweight h-tensile steel, contradicting the fork blade decal.

seeing as it’s a 62-63cm frame I’ve ready some builders would thicken up key points such as seat tubes and head tubes as riders are generally heavier and longer stretches of material would be weaker in stiffness. Of course it makes to me but I have no proof otherwise.
