Respectfully, i don't like this I used the stickies all the time and this seems to be way less convenient, easy and entertaining

Squirtdad, I*'m trying to streamline the stickies, while still keeping them accessible. This opens up more area for new posts and still having them available. It's easy enough to go back, but give it a chance and you may come to like this better in the long run.

I don't get why Strange Things Found On Your Commute is a sticky but also appears outside of this new thing. Oh wait, do they all?

Tom,

I understand the desire to keep from sticking everything, but I'd keep a couple of them still...

I'd advocate for re-sticking the Commute Today and the Mileage Challenge threads.

Just my $0.02
Thanks

Recommend that you return to "stickying" the Commuter Bicycle Pics page. that's really the only reason I come to this subforum, the bike porn.

I really like consolidating the stickies into here, since I basically only use one of them all. I am finding two issues though: 1) when I click the link it opens a new window (maybe that's a setting in my browser? I don't think so, though) and 2) it goes to the first page rather than the last. Thanks for working on streamlining this, for sure!

I agree, why is 'Commuting For Trade' a sticky?? Personally I have zero interest in that one but I like to check 'Commuter Bicycle Pics' often....

Tom, I have given it a while before I chipped in with my $0.02, but here it is. I would like to see the mileage thread and bike pics thread stickied

I like this forum, it doesnt seem to need much moderation, mostly because of the people who come here, and in part because the moderaters do it so well.

+100

Hate it, and didn't think the forum was especially crowded at the top.

In this case, you're solving a non-existent problem.

It's now been three months like this, and I don't like it better. Anyone else? I'd love to see the How was the commute today thread, the mileage thread, the Strange Things thread, and the Pics thread stickied again. The Advice thread I wouldn't bother with, since nobody reads it and noobs just start their own threads anyway.

I hate sticky threads personally and think they take away from the forum especial going from page to page. I like the idea of consolidating them into 1 thread to open up the real estate on the forum

Can we do all or nothing on this? Right now we've got some stickies, and some in the consolidated thread.

A tip for those displeased with the Sticky Thead: Use the Bookmark feature of your browser to access your favorite stickies. Especially if using a smartphone. One click gets you right where you want to be every time - directly.

Not that anyone cares, but I am enjoying not having to scroll past a dozen stickies when using my phone to visit BF.
