On guitar closer to the body the notes are closer together and higher in pitch. Reduces the reach and or stretching of the hand. So like I said it may not transfer to Trumpet.

She also plays mellophone which uses French Horn mouthpiece but trumpet fingering, so that might give her a small amount of trumpet cred.

Drove the Saturn through 2+ hours of heavy thunderstorms to take my sister to her place in NJ. She has to get some treatment today (two shots) and take care of some household matters.
The Saturn is an amazing vehicle but driving it at highway speed in heavy rain was unnerving. I might eventually have to get a 21st century car.

Most definitely.
Wouldn't think of it. I salute anyone that gets out with the express intent of getting a bit of exercise. Also, eating too much while exercising is better than the great American pastime of eating too much while not exercising.

Overheard this morning, while locking up the boy's bike at school -
"Well, what [so-and-so] did was duct tape the chain to the bike, and then you might be able to just take off the pedals, but it really depends on how pokey-outie the pre-peg things are..."
As near as I could tell, they were talking about buying/using a kid's pedal bike as a balance bike.

But we just have to realize that 50 miles for normal people is a lot even in a car. It's unimaginable on a bike. For most normal people it ceases being fun somewhere south of 20 miles.

He came out of the store with a huge burger and while eating he kept telling us they had a thing called a "Big ass burrito" in the store. After he finished his burger and whatever he had with it he went back in and got the Big ass burrito and promptly inhaled it too. Of course, he was the first up the big climb out of there.

Speaking of which, I haven't posted a picture of my new cockpit, in part due to photo woes, but also due to my reluctance to trigger coveting and ruing.
You're welcome.

Not really.
I drove 60 miles on Memorial Day in a storm that dumped 2 to 4 inches in a matter of hours, all the while driving at 55 - 70 mph in the Jeep. If that's not normal speeds, I'm not sure what is.
If your post read, "You can't drive a normal speed if there's heavy rain in a senior Accord. SMH." I might agree.
