French stuff for your winter projects

Hi folks,

I have some French parts that I’d like to share with others. These were leftover from other projects and they can be yours for the cost of postage.
  1. Handlebar and stem set that is marked with a block M. They came off of a mid-80s Motobecane Mirage Sport. The bars are 36cm wide & the stem 80mm.
  2. PIVO labeled bars that have a slight flare at the drops. 38mm wide.- moving on!
  3. ATAX 70mm stem with Peugeot Lion on the back side of the square stem. This may have come with the PIVO bars.- moving on!
  4. All chrome Tange French threaded fork. 180mm threaded steerer & includes an untested headset. Don’t know the history of this, but looks straight. One set of HS bearings is loose in a baggie.
  5. French threaded fork from a mid 80s Peugeot Competition. 238mm threaded steerer & also includes an untested roller bearing headset. This came of a frame that the chain stays cracked where they attached to the BB. I got it for the forged rear dropouts.
  6. Huret down tube, braze-on, friction shifters that came off the frame of #5.-moving on!
I think items 2 & 3 came of a 70s Peugeot Mixte that I converted to riser bar and stem as a city bike.

Recycled cardboard and bubble pack will be used for packaging. The last time I shipped a handlebar & stem set, it was about $15.

I you would like additional pictures or info please send me your email address.

Thanks & regards,

Van

The Radonneur bars, I presume #2, are those 25.4mm or 26.0? Turns out now that I am looking for a set.

I'm interested in the bars- possibly both. Where did you take the width measurements from? And, do you happen to have a side-view photo- I'm wondering about how close (or far..) from being 'parallel' the drops are on them? (or if no photo, could you just eyeball it?) Thx!

Hi,
Sorry, they’re French, 25.0 clamp.

Thanks for the quick response. Oh, well, and my one French bike is complete.

Hello,
The bar width shown is CTC. The outside for the PIVO is 42.5 & for the "M" is 41.0.
It looks like the "M" bars (Left) are close to parallel while the PIVO (RIGHT) has a little more spread. See Picture.
NOTE: these are French sizing with 22.0 stem shafts and 25.0 clamps.
Cheers,
Van

Thanks, appreciate the additional info. Been really trying to find bars like the AVAs on my PX-10, a kind of short-reach, almost-parallel Maes shape.

Hi folks,
The ATAX stem, PIVO bars & Huret shifters are moving on to a new home.
Cheers,
