Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I can't stand it when people decide you can't voice your opinion. If you don't want to say anything fine, but if I have something to say keep out of it....unless they want a dose too.

Just ignore them when they start waving. I just don't look or turn my head and pretend I can't see them. Then they are forced to do the right thing.

I had that thought too, but I was wearing their shirt and it’s their reputation, so I understand the reaction and will try to behave.

Wife woke up feeling sore, achy, and with a migraine. I woke up with some obvious respiratory limitations and minor aches, but fully functional for non-athletic endeavors. I mean, I could certainly do a light recovery ride, but it's raining anyway, so Mother Nature has kindly removed that temptation. It'll actually be nice to have a day off around the house, maybe get in a little shop time and do a little maintenance on the bikes.

You can voice your opinion until the cows come home.

As long as everyone within earshot agrees with it.

That's one of the problems with living in the SW. the weather is always nice, so you need to find excuses to take a day off the bike.

I drink coffee throughout the day, but make a point of limiting myself to three cups. Just finished the second. Poor sleep.

Aw hell naw!

See, this is exactly why I don't like riding in groups, you have to give up so much to conform. When I want to ride my bike I value the freedom to go where I want, when I want, and to do what I want to do. Why go out with other people exerting pressure on me? It's like going to work.

I try to not be too mean when I'm wearing shop logos.

So, you're not a team player?

When I'm wearing the team kit, I'm not worried about conforming, per se, I'm worried about getting tracked down by easily identifiable information.
