Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nah. The trainer looks to be portable/stowable enough that I should be able to set up in front of my computer with no problem. I've been doing trainer work for years, this is just my first smart trainer.

Apple TV is apparently low res on Zwift. Don't let the '4K' moniker fool you!

4000 euros apiece. For the bike only. I failed to ask if the discs are hydraulic or not. So many things that could be asked if there was a day more. The are from East Germany, and were 18 when the wall came down. I would have loved to chat about that a bit. His weighs in at 40 kilos; hers at 30. Schmidt dynamo hubs, with a specially made USB charging port on the stem. Flash bikes.
I highly recommend the Warm Showers experience.
Nice, and extra credit for the Fit in the background. Same color as mrs datlas. They don't sell them in the usa anymore.

They might not sell them here. I'll have to check. The dealer mark up on them is so low(here) that they don't even put them out on the floor. You have to ask. I'f they are in fact gone, I'm glad we got in under the wire.

It only matters if you give a damn about high resolution quality during your workout. I don't. The Apple TV device (mine isn't even the "4K" model) serves my needs just fine at 1080p. Best of all, I didn't have to go buy a new device.

You didn't do it right. I can get to that hotel from anywhere in the airport in about 15 minutes max. Use the SkyLink.

Best eats are in Terminals B and D.

I had a terrible vehicular homicide case with a Fit. That car folded and split like a pancake. There's a reason they're not sold here anymore. She's better off in your old ass Saturn.

4K is essential if you want to see the sweat drop off the Tron riders.

If you brought your bike, there is some decent work out riding on the north side of the airport by Founders Plaza. Mostly distribution center buildings without a lot of traffic. Good area to roll some miles, but nothing to look at.

I connect to the TV in the garage, because the laptop screen is too small for my lousy eyes without glasses, and I can't wear glasses while sweating. My own laptop runs Zwift pretty well, but for some reason the HDMI socket started sporadically cutting out and then failed completely, so I'm on an older laptop that BARELY runs. Takes FOREVER to launch, and another FOREVER to load any of the worlds. I basically have to allow at least 10 minutes at the start before I'm even 'there'. So, I have to set aside almost an hour and a half - because sometimes there are updates that take forever to install - to do an hour on Zwift.

The Younger Boy said he'd sell me his current gaming rig but he's still dawdling about putting a new one together.

The Apple TV starts up pretty quickly. I've been pretty happy with it. The only time I have issues is when I'm not getting a strong enough WiFi signal in the garage. My setup...
