Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A baseball team would be nice. Then when I come up to pal around we could take in a game.

Yeah, it was kinda close from what I gathered. His wife's sister is a high wattage Dr. In another state. She had to intreven on his behalf. He sat in a waiting room for 4 hours. Apparently there is a 5 hour treatment window? He was close. He's going to be on a pump for weeks.

Only 40 miles today but I got a slice of pepperoni @ the turnaround. It wasn't quite as hot out as predicted but I drank 4 big bottles, 1.5 fountain Cokes and 2 glasses of water when I got home and I think I'm still a little dehydrated. Gonna go drink some more now.

Kudos to the homies for taking it easy on me.

There's the Smokies in nearby Sevier County (exit 407 for you I-40 travelers). Their logo (below) is the only redeeming feature of the team.

They're working on a stadium/development near downtown to move the team back. Public money for baseball. Government waste its worst. #P&R

I don’t know how far tomorrow’s leg is. I’m estimating 42 if I can get into the campground I want. If not, maybe another 10 miles to plan B.

If you can skip a stone to the other shore, I say it's a crick.

Is this a solo trip, or do you have traveling companions?

One of our coaches asked if he and his son could come to practice tonight, although they were both exposed and are waiting on test results.
