Preferred Youtube video(s) for basic fitting?

There are approximately 9,975 youtube videos on bike fitting, including videos telling me every other method is doing it wrong and everything anyone else says is a myth. There is contradictory information, and videos implying you can't get a good fit without going to Cat 1 physical therapist with 20 years of bike fit experience and $10k in motion sensor hardware.

I"m pretty overwhelmed and suffering from paralysis from analysis.

What's a good video or videos on bike fit? I'm just trying to get close for now - since I suspect a professional fit is in my future.

Thanks.

I'm not sure a video is quite the thing, since it shows someone else on a bike, not you. What a fitter sees is you on a bike, which is different. I have a little DIY primer here:
https://www.bikeforums.net/21296948-post3.html
which can get you started.

There's also another DIY thing: Google bikefastfit. It's an iPhone app. There's a review of it here: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/10/...comment-page-4
There's also a way to get the app to work on an Android phone, here: https://baixarapk.gratis/en/app/710935084/bike-fast-fit

If you're going to be your own bike fitter, might was well go about it methodically. It's just about getting your joint angles within ranges which have worked for most people and getting balanced on the bike at the same time.

Thanks. That app looks interesting. Reading about Bike Fast Fit also led me to MyVeloFit.com, which is also promising.

Thanks.

not really having watched many (more like 5-6) videos on 'fitting' position to a road bike.
I can only help on reducing that number of 'possibles' to a more manageable level...
If, the first thing they do, is anything else but NOT discuss how you should take your important body dimension measurements.... knock that video out, don;t bother going further...

My input, no matter which guide/video/random internet advice you pick, stick to only one until you determine whether or not it works for YOU (hint: this takes time as you adapt to new positions). IMO nothing worse than trying to combine multiple (and often conflicting) simultaneous fit guides into your personal use case.

Also - don't make large position changes all at once, if you follow a guide that says your ideal saddle height is 25 mm different than present, make several incremental adjustments to get there over a period of time, don't do the whole adjustment at once.
