Hard to see with a phone cam, but some of the dozens of birds nesting near the main causeway into Ocean City, NJ. Most are snowy egrets.

I went pretty hard this week my HRV only dipped low after the hard ride on Tuesday. It was down to around 35-39 wed and thursday, and by today was back up to 49. Im kind of surprised it’s not lower. Im def feeling this weeks load, but I don’t feel too fatigued so it looks like it might be accurate.

Working on it. Wordle done (4, splendid?), French Press made, and cat fed. Heading out for an easy “recovery” ride soon, hoping to beat the heat. Yesterdays ride was long and hard and hot, so I had the dreaded cramps towards the end and for several hours post-ride. They say damaging the muscles leads to repair/stronger muscles. I hope so.
When I rode the 13 miles back from Sea Isle on Saturday it was 94 degrees and humid. I drank over 60 ounces of water and had to take a shade break. The Kask helmet I bought last year has poor ventilation. I’m going to relegate it to cool weather duty.
