Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shaving is dumb, too, but I do enough of it (not every day) to keep looking mostly civilized.

I have observed that I get the closest shave 3 days or more after my previous shave.

Same here. I hate shaving my face. If I wait for a while I get a closer shave. Because I am usually the only one in my office I try to put it off as long as possible, until it starts to annoy me, especially in hot, humid weather.

I generally do it twice a week. In addition to the time factor, shaving every day would be harsh on my skin.

Twerpy young guys with beards and meticulously trimmed beards on straight guys always seem sort of smug and pretentious to me. I shave my entire head with an electric shaver these days and it gives me pleasure.

I shave once a week because it's easier to get sunblock on for longer weekend rides without facial fur, but 4-5 days seems to be ideal.

Still not sure why it hasn't been all evolved off, though. Mother nature should get on that.

On my iPad it’s one long scrolling page, so I can’t go back and tell you what it is.

I have to shave every 3 to 5 days. Not due to any romantic encumbrances but so that the gas mask will seal on my face. Beards are not allowed. It's almost all white/ gray anyways. My hair is still mostly brown but my beard has been white/Grey for 10 years.

Well it's no Mickey Rooney's Potato Fantasy, but since you can't time travel, I guess it'll do.
