newb roadie from northern california
hi y'all,
my name is eugene and i started riding seriously for a few months now. i am a 32yr old male initially got into cycling to build stamina in my legs for badminton. but as i see the improvement in my legs, the faster and longer i want to go on my bike. tho i still train for badminton, i spend just as much time on my bike for the purpose to riding. and here i am three months later still riding and even watching 2010 tour de france. i will be looking forward to riding my first 50mi trip before the stupid rainy season comes to california.

Welcome to the forum Eugene! And congrats on getting into cycling with a vengeance. It often takes new riders a lot longer time to build up to 50 mile rides, so that's something to be proud of. I won't go into any sort of corny jokes about combining cycling with badminton to invent a new sport, kind of like polo on bikes!
