What Age Range are You In?

JPPE wanted to do a survey. He stated, “It’s probably just my perception but it seems there are a lot more folks 60+ posting than 50-55-60. It would be interesting to see the distribution of ages in 5 year blocks, 50-55, 55-60 and on up. “

His interest is to see where the majority of the ages/responses fall. The data presented will not be used for any nefarious purposes.

This forum may attract older segments because one doesn't really start feeling it until one is over 60. Then one might feel the need for a little company. and discussion of what's going on.

I'm guessing cyclists older than 86 aren't tech savvy enough to have internet.

My sister's 87 going on 88 and uses the internet just fine. There's a whole group of 80 plus cyclists, 650 of them, on Facebook, all using the internet. My wife is 84 (and bicycles) and uses it just fine, and
will still remember when she's 86.

Can you please ask them to contribute to this poll so it doesn't read "0" in their age group? 650 cyclists over 86 would really be impressive.

Younger people dont want people to know how old they are already, and old people like me (83) like to brag about our age.

Naaaah... Not when I've got these in the garage...

The Wife's 'fun' car - 23k original-mile bone stock

good for 15.0 with a bone-sock 351C-4V

One of my two 351CJ Cougars - also a 351C-4V but not stock

ran 14.40s BITD

AND the quickest of the bunch - one NOBODY expects...

Because NOBODY expects that out of a 4-door grandpa-mobile! Especially when it runs a sub 12-second quarter-mile!!!

Odd as it may seem, but to me this has been one of the best and most entertaining threads I have seen on BikeForums for ages (even ever). Great bunch of guys who have contributed over the decades to cylcing, health and achievements of all sorts.

And great to see them close up.

I turned 66 in early August, and despite a near-fatal workplace accident in March 2018 which has left me with permanent brain injury, I am still cycling, although not as much as I did before that accident. This year might get to a total of 2,000-plus kilometres, which sounds measily, but is quite an achievement to me now, and thanks a lot to the patience of Machka who has been incredibly thoughtful all the way.

I do miss some of the BikeForums guys who have disappeared along the way. Even over the past weekend, I was thinking a lot about pcad who was very contributable in thoughts and cycling. But I also have contact from to time with others who have done incredibly well, such as Machka and Bill (qcpmsame) both on and off the road in diffierent ways.
