Greetings from Cary, NC
Older guy but new to cycling, retiring next year at 61 and picking this up for exercise and enjoyment. Finding this area has many miles of trails good for easy bicycling (and no cars!). Am looking to ride greenways, Tobacco Trail, Neuse River trail and some green/easy trails in the parks -- no shredding for me

Hello and welcome. My first MIL and BIL lived in Cary. We went there as part of our honeymoon, in 1984. Pretty place.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I'm quickly discovering that my area has many miles of greenways, paths and trails that I can ride without having to worry about cars. Did my first two rides of 15 miles each along the tobacco trail which is an old railroad bed with no steep grades. I ain't fast, averaging around 10 mph but have found it to be enjoyable at that speed. Couple more tobacco trail rides and then will give Umstead a try.
