Legs of a chicken, heart of a lion
Checking in from Colorado! I found the forum recently when researching vintage English 3 speeds. Rebadged as a Western Flyer sold by Western Auto Parts stores in the United States years ago, I rebuilt a bike with much advice from the C&V folks.
I typically ride mountain bikes in the Winter Park and Fraser, Colorado, area. But, I’m starting to dig vintage rides after rebuilding the 3 speed.
Next up is a 1982 Schwinn Voyageur I was given. It’ll be converted to a gravel bike for running dirt roads in the Rockies.

Here’s the Western Flyer. I’m a motorcycle fan, too, and I wanted it to look like a 1920s board track racer. Hence the flipped bars.
Here’s me after a buddy’s 53-mile birthday gravel ride today. The road won!

WELCOME from a fellow Colorado rider, down south in Co. Springs!! Nice old vintage 3 speed, reminds me of my Huffy Sportsman 3 speed I got in 7th. grade to ride to Jr. High, (way back in 1967 when dinosaur's ruled the planet, LOL! ) Enjoy the forum!
