Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My thought was that the guy should be apologizing to his employees, as well as the community, for being a a**hole who could be jeopardizing their jobs.

I don't know if I'd mentioned it previously, but my "fee" for all of the kitchen work is a new espresso machine - it was something that I'd jokingly proffered and the wife was all too happy to accept. Today, she approached me and asked, "how much is the espresso machine going to be? I want to know how much to set aside for it and the counter tops..." When I told her, she didn't flinch at all. DAMN! I should have shot higher!

A light plane crashed about a mile from here 45 minutes ago. Helicopters are flying around it. The news said the pilot didn't make it.
Saturday a rider who is a member of my club was killed by a DUI speeder. Just now heard they are going to charge the driver with murder. I didn't know the rider.

About as long as I have been on the forum whenever someone talks about weight, buying lighter parts, saving weight on their bike, etc., people will tell them to take a dump instead, as if that was the answer. Or someone will say to leave a bottle at home. Eventually some clear thinker will say they could do both of those things and still buy the lighter parts.

I don't know about anyone else, but taking a dump isn't something I can generally do on command. I'm either ready to do so or I'm not.

Still, I gotta admit, it's cheaper than most good quality, lighter bike parts.
