Free Campagnolo Wheelset *** TAKEN ***
Mods: Please delete or move if this is not the appropriate forum for this.
I'm looking for a good home for this wheelset. I originally posted this on one other forum, but as there were no local takers, I am posting this here. From time to time, I enjoy giving away stuff that I no longer use or need, especially on my favorite bike forums, to fellow cyclists. If there are no takers here, I will post it on other local places (not for free).
This is for local pickup only, no shipping. I live in San Francisco.
I bought this wheelset many years ago for a project that never happened. It's a vintage Record or C-Record hubset, 126mm rear spacing, British freewheel threaded. Rims are 36H Victory Strada tubular. The dustcap is missing on one side of the front hub, but I've located a NOS dustcap that may or may not fit (I have not attempted to install it),
The hubs will need to be overhauled, the wheels are still true (amazingly). There are old tires glued on, but they are old and crumbly, so will need to be replaced and the rims cleaned up.
Please DM/PM me and tell me why you want these, and to arrange a day and time for local pickup in San Francisco, Sunset District.

That is a nice thing to do. If I weren't on the other side of the globe, I'd be right over with a six-pack of your favorite brew.

That's a great and generous gesture. Looks like C Record era.
If I might recommend someone to have these, squirtdad would be a worthy recipient. He passed along a wheelset to my son a couple of months back. He lives in the bay area as well.
I dont know how to tag him, otherwise I would.
Thanks for posting this.
