Wholistic Workout Beyond Spinning

Hey all,

I spin 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes.

Recently I've found my calves getting tight, and thus my knee hurting. My friend recommended I look into stretches but also varying my workouts. Maybe substituting a cycle day for yoga, and also adding a day to workout build muscle.

Just wanted to get some more opinions.

Thanks!

Stretching the achilles tendons and hamstrings is absolutely necessary when cycling is your main form of exercise. Use the "runners" sretch for the tendons and anything that stretches the hamstrings. Find a good spot and hold for 30 seconds. Best done after spinning.
