You asked, you get. This is the new edition of the 'Numbskull of the Day' thread. It's not going to be stickied, so it's up to all of you to keep it on the front page.

Enjoy!

Gee, the seller says it's a "3 speed" on an "Antique Schwinn Double Bike."

I count 5. Is he/she mathematically challenged? Gears and price?

I'm not so sure that's really numbskull. The price may be steep, but for a good condition Schwinn Twinn (which that appears to be), I wouldn't consider it outrageous. Though they certainly could pay better attention.

That is actually a Target brand bike and there is some online coupon that you can use in conjunction with some in-store sale to get the complete bike out the door for $37.

This man is a genius, not a numbskull.

This kind of thing is mentioned in this three year old fatwallet thread.

Where are the coupons now? This could be good co-op project fodder.

Maybe he should throw in a free consult with an orthopedic surgeon for when you destroy your knees on that thing.

And he really should install the bakes.

check the cable routing, I e-mailed him "it works great". I bet

this one might be a bit better, but he claims to "know vintage bikes" and he isn't aware that "all original parts" doesn't mean S**t when it comes to stuff like this. Or that a "record du monde" is just a sticker

this one made me chuckel.
https://delaware.craigslist.org/bik/1119540186.html
I'm a hipster looking for a "fixed speed" bicycle. It must have only one speed. No brakes, they are for not cool people. I will be using it mostly as an excuse to wear an expensive bag and go to Starbucks. I also want to roll up my pant leg to show off my beat up Sambas and patterned socks.

If you have a "vintage" looking bicycle that I could convert to a fixie, that would be fine as well.

Must be cheap, my parent's give me little allowance.
