What's the "Leopard" part of the team name supposed to mean anyway? Is there some "Leopard" brand that I'm not aware of, something to do with Mercedes? Because if it's just the animal it seems kind of odd to me.

In a way, it is the national placeholder(because it was known as the Luxembourg Cycling project at first), but also it's the company that is managing the team's resources. Leopard is like the Luxembourg(ian?) version of Katusha with Itera, Gazprom, and other company managing Katusha's team, which still has "The Russian Global Cycling Project" underneath the "Katusha". Also this is Katusha's team jersey for this year, with the switch to Focus cycles.

Leopard is the name of the management company that pays the bills for the team. Like High Road or Slipstream.

Maybe I was expecting too much with all the hype and anticipation, but that kit is so boring. Seems to be dying for a title sponsor. Even if this is a temporary deal they still could have come out with something better. Seems like Sky inspired a few copycats in Garvelo and Leopard.
So far my favorite kit belongs to Movistar.
Love or hate Trek, you have to admit that they know which bandwagon to ride. They did it with Lance as long as they could and now with Alberto in trouble Schleck sure does look like the next big thing.

I like the kit. It's a departure from the normal "box of cereal" look most teams have.
