Use Of Tandem Bicycle and Autistic Stoker
I am interested in finding out about the use of Tandem bicycles with Autistic riders. My grandson is about level 2-3 Autistic. He has a hard time interfacing but at 19 years of age he is controlled and capable of focus often for long periods of time. I noticed that he is using a stationary bicycle quite well. He has good balance and is very strong. He could not be trusted to be on his own on a bicycle so my son is reluctant to let him ride a regular bicycle for fear of him just taking off.
I was wondering if Forum members have used a Tandem bicycle with autistic riders and what thier precautions and recomendations may be.

I'd be interested to hear comments on this too. Thanks for posting.
