Accessory that was worth the money
I got to thinking about all the stuff I have purchased over the years for various activities that turned out to be totally worthless or never used. There are some non-essential things I have purchased that were really a great addition so I wondered what the members have added that is now a great addition.
For me it was the gel cushioned gloves that really made a difference on the hands and arms.

Seat bag. Though small, it contains snaks and a spare tire tube. Then there is the mini pump. When first starting road riding in the '70s I never had a flat. Ever. Those 27x1.25s were a beast. Now? I wont ride without this stuff.

When you get "the finger" you know that you got your message across.
That works the other way too. It aggravates them more when you act like you didn't notice.

Great purchases
Long-sleeve jersey with attached hood (I have 4 and use them all winter)
Arm warmers
Leg warmers
Cycling sandals w/SPD
A waste
Some "Vista" lights I purchased many years back - impossible (or near impossible) to get replacement bulbs.
My wife's Cannondale R300 - she hated it.

Sidi shoes. Every time I put them on I silently (and sometimes out loud) thank my wife for making me get them.
I also love my Under Amour base layers. It amazes me how much more comfortable i am when the weather gets just a little cooler.
Super ultra lightweight Pearl Izumi jacket. My wife has one that's similar from Castilli. The point is that it's often just what we need, and it's super small in the pocket.
One more
Park Tools tire boots. They've saved us a couple of times. Don't leave home without one.

Being a wheel component, the Hub Dynamo powered LED Head and taillight are not really an "accessory", but I still like mine
I bought a Minoura Double waterbottle back of the saddle mount,
It lets me Use a British saddle bag on my Pleather covered Saddle and have it secure .
one of these WC Seat Post, Size 27.2mm, Aluminum, Black ? WiseCracker also cured my slipping seatpost.

Ergon grips for my commuter.
Velcro tie strap thing for the pump on my classic.
Flight Deck on my main road bike... I really am going to miss that whenever I won't be able to get another one.
