Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Had always wanted a GT Edge Ti after riding a prototype back in 1994 that belonged to GT team manager Doug Martin. Picked this one up late winter and loaded it with Ritchey WCS and 6600 Ultgera. Absolutely loving it. Finished weight with pedals is right at 17 lbs.

Already posted in another thread, but of course I need to post here too!

Macalu Cirrus Compact (read Merlin Extralight Compact), built up with 105, Supergo Korso Wheels. The crank is being replaced with an Ultegra double right now. I love the ride but haven't gotten more than 3 miles on it due to my crank needing to be replaced.

Merlin is also made in the same factory as Litespeed - so there are Macalu models derived from Litespeed and also from Merlin.

Well, my LBS knew it was a Merlin Extralight when they saw it (and they sell Merlins), so I was happy to agree with them

I have to say, those all weather Titanium Intercepters are an excellent Idea! What could be better as a rain bike than non rusting/non corroding Ti?

That was the main reason my Tuscany was to be my beater rain bike... I may have to down grade it's components and follow through with the original plan...

Or a Blue Ridge

Now that's a story, sounds like you should invest in some more TI

I think that CPC mount is part of the bar, and bolts to the underside as an integrated unit.
