Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Excited to see some snowfall tomorrow, especially because I don't have to drive.

Bite your tongue! I am hoping the snow does not materialize so we can do our weekly mid-week ride.

Installing the winter tires today. Maybe we'll get some real snow soon.

Yeah. We are not expecting a real snow. Maybe a coating on grassy surfaces. By Saturday it's supposed to get to 70 degrees. Just in time for my company's holiday party at some some farm.

I have a 3 hour design meeting with my department today and have no idea how I am going to make it through.
I'm off for my booster in a half hour. Neither of the first two hit me very hard and I'm still hoping to get in a trainer ride later, so that means #3 will prolly put me on my ass.

It must be the holiday season. We already have a big box of "Hope's Cookies" and Lindt chocolates in our lunchroom.

So, heart rate question. I did a zwift ride yesterday and hadn't taken my cholesterol/ BP meds, I forgot the day before. I was able to attain a much higher heart rate than normal. I hit 172 for a high and spent a lot of time in the 160s. Normally I see 155ish as a high. The weird thing was, I was holding say 165bpm, I would then push a little harder, like to catch a wheel, my heart rate would actually drop a couple bpm? I felt great, no pain, other than exertion.

I know people that make snow for the local slopes. Sadly, the equipment isn't portable.

I like riding gators. Mine are on a steel bike. True they're not as cushy as some, but not as bad as they're made out to be.
Edit: Simply put, I like riding. I don't need the fancy schmancy.
