Curious: Great Schwalbe Big Apple Alternatives?
In terms of rolling resistance and puncture protection, what are your recommendations as to 20"/406 tires that are as good as or better than the Schwalbe Big Apple in the 2.00-2.15"/50-55mm range of widths?

Schwalbe makes great tires, any reason for the want to switch? I initially wanted to find a different tire than my Super Moto Xs but haven't found anything and rather like the puncture protection they provide granted they didn't stop that nail but nothing was really going to stop it.

I use and like the dial compound Maxxis Torch in 20x1.75, and it’s available in a really nice, light, 120tpi, folding bead 1.95 size, as well as a heavier 60tpi 2.20 size.
I’ve only used Big Apples in 26” so can’t directly compare the Torch, but it has been a fast rolling, good cornering, comfy tire for me; it’ll take a high, 110psi max, which is good for me because I’m heavy, but I usually run about 85psi.

Continental Contact Urban comes in 50-406, but, apparently doesn't reach as many markets as the Schwalbe Big Apple 50-406 does. It's not available from US suppliers and I've never seen a review of it in the context of an alternative to the Big Apple.
The middle portion of the tread looks good, but, the little dimples to each side of that look to me like they could collect small pieces of rock or glass. If those dimples were replaced with the same tread pattern as the middle, then I might go out of my way to try the tire.
BigApple retains the top spot, for me. I welcome worthy 50-406 contenders.
