Yep, I ride the 65 on saturday. Hope to see you both. I registered for the RetrRonde too but maybe, hope not, it's not possible due to cataract surgery.

And we've planned a leisurely 30k recovery ride on Sunday, along the Loire river.
Looking forward to it!

La Pedals de Clip have merged with another event into La Pedals de Foix. Scheduled for September 17 in Catalonia. If you've never been to Spain this is a good place to start.

Good to read the list non-fixie , I have an entry for Gaiole this year but not sure the distance I'll be capable of. The Gert Lush is my hometown in the UK so I hope to make it to that one next year!

Mrs non-fixie and I elected to go to Eroica Montalcino this year, instead of Gaiole, so we won't be there, alas. The Gert Lush is on the list because of a heads-up from ExPatTyke, IIRC. Would be nice to see a report, as it sounds like a fun event.

A look back at this year's RetroRonde:

Just back from this year’s L’Intrepida! Good weather, no fog at the start. All of the climbs, and descents, were as challenging as ever. Event had the usual community feel that makes it special, from the HS kids trooping down the streets to go to a talk by Fred Morini of the Italian Nation Team staff, the middle school kids handling stamping duties at checkpoints, and random towns people pointing as I rode through town days before the event, saying “ look, an Intrepedio.”
Got to stand next to Moser while he checked out a bike on display that the had ridden to one of his championships, and at lunch one day got to hear Bronzini regal her table with stories of riding on the track.
Was it a good event? Well, when Gianni Bugno takes a picture of the start, I’d say yes
Moser checking out a bike
and the hardest working rider at any C and V event, at the top of the steepest climb, getting the crank cotter replaced on his folding Bianchi. After all, it does meet the rules

Thank you for your report, Mr. Spadoni ! Much appreciated.
BTW, mrs non-fixie informed me this afternoon she has booked a hotel room for next year's L'Eroica. Apparently she's not done there yet.
