I had a 67 Mustang, no power steering, non power drum brakes, 4 speed with heavy clutch springs, no a/c. When I advertised it for sale a woman called and said she wanted to buy it for her 16 year old daughter. I tried to tell her it wouldn't be good for a 16 y.o. girl but she pressed on. She insisted on knowing how many miles it had on it. I explained that I had assembled the car from parts so it didn't matter what the odometer said. That freaked her out.

- Steel bikes are best.
- Motorex 2000 is the best bike grease.
- Waxing a chain out west is best but oil is best in the east.
- Leather Brooks saddles are the most comfortable saddles, period.
- And last but not least, and I agree with a previous post, "Are carbon bikes safe?"
That should give the General Cycling a jolt....hahaha...

My mom bought a HoOmni, assembled from the front half of a wrecked Horizon and the rear of a wrecked Omni. Fortunately from the same model year. I think she put 125,000 to 150,000 miles on that beast before she traded it.

That's what's funny about this forum, it really is not that nasty, but there's always a zillion posts complaining about other people being argumentative. Then the people they're complaining about will start arguing with them about how they're really the argument troller and the whole thing goes in circles. Maybe it's a cyclist's instinct to do laps

If it were assembled from parts, how did you know it was a '67?
My mom bought a HoOmni, assembled from the front half of a wrecked Horizon and the rear of a wrecked Omni. Fortunately from the same model year. I think she put 125,000 to 150,000 miles on that beast before she traded it.

He gave me a pile of parts to go with it, a 9 inch differential, some brake parts, etc. Then he gave us a wrecked 66 Mustang that I took the interior from and sold the rest. I horse traded for an engine and exhaust system and bought some other stuff. Kind of a giant pain to do.
A friend had a body shop complete with frame machine, etc. He would buy wrecks and fix them to sell. He always took pictures of the process to show people who bought them. He bought 2 Mazda RX7s and cut them in half to make one. It was cosmetically perfect when finished.
