Your finding out what a lot of us dislike about SRAM from a shifting viewpoint - although as i said in one of the above posts, im running SRAM too - and voluntarily at that due to Shimano not making a gripshift competitor

My experience also on two of my SRAM equipped bikes. One is SRAM GX and the other is SRAM X01. It works, just not very smooth.

Once they wear out, I will replace with Shimano XT.
