Peugeot PR10 frame 57.5 cm Prob 1971 $60 shipped
$60 including shipping.
So, this is a frame from a PR10 (I think) that I bought about 10-12 years ago. The PR10 has three main tubes 531, maybe butted but maybe not. Over the years, I nibbled parts off it and now hope to find someone who can use the frame.
It's in pretty good shape as shown in the pics. When cleaning it up when I got it, some of the paint around the bottom bracked proved to be pretty thin so I stopped with the compounding. See the picture.
I don't think the frame was ever damaged but there is some, what appears to me to be, lacquer checking on the top tube near the head lug. I've looked at it carefully and tried to find any evidence of repaired damage or rolling either on the top tube or down tube, but it looks straight and I see no evidence of any filling and refinishing though there is evidence of the paint being touched up in various places -- all done before I got it. The frame is about 57.5 cm CTT, which is too big for me, but after I put it back on the road, it was ridden a bunch by my larger nephews and it rode fine, even no hands.
Headset (Stronglight, I think) is included though I'd like to take the fork off for packing.

It is double butted and that's a deal on a PR 10 given that you are including the HS and shipping. This era Peugeot touches up nicely with flat white rustoleum. This frame looks like a 54 though not a 57.5.

1971-74 Peugeot PR-10
3 TUBES RENFORCES = Butted 3 Main Tubes. These frames had metric tubing and took a 26.4mm seatpost. The rear triangle and forks used the same carbon steel tubing as the ubiquitous U-08 bikes except PR-10s had a racing fork rake.
The top tube brake cable clamps were a little larger to fit metric 26mm rather than 25.4mm 1" size. Simplex, Huret and some Weinmann clamps will work.
The BB is 35mm x 1mm French metric. You can find these on eBay or get a sealed bearing one from VeloOrange. The stem is 22.0mm but most Nitto 22.2mm stems measure 22.1mm and should fit without too much effort.
Peugeot US market literature lists 21", 23", 24" etc. (54cm, 58c, 60cm) size frames. All sizes were "nominal". Peugeot made some unlisted 22" (56cm) frames during that era. This looks like a 22" Center to Top frame - the way the French measured them.
My 54cm 1967 PX-10 - see the length of the head tube:
This is a 22" (56cm) PA-10 from that era.
...and my 23" (58cm) 1972 PX-10 - look at the rear of the head tube:
1971-73 was the peak of the US bike boom and cosmetics were pretty sloppy on many bikes from that era. These are Nervex Dubois lugs:
PR-10s used the same Peugeot headsets as the U-08s. They were decent quality and reasonably easy to adjust - much better than most of the ones used on lower priced French bikes. I don't recall ever having to replace one.
1972 US flyer - they list "27 x 1 1/4 alloy rims" but they actually had sewups during those years. Probably in 1974-75 they switched to clinchers???
1974 US Catalog - there were very many changes made between 1971 and 1974.
This isn't a high end frame but it will ride and handle nicely and at the price, don't look a gift horse in the mouth!
Hope this helps a little.
