Hung parts on it just now to get a better feel for how it will look. Wish I had a clue to what year. Neuron seemed to come out mid 90's.

That’s ok. You won’t see it.

I have a 1A in 80 that I don't need.
I have a Cinelli 1R on my old roadie from 1986. I remember having problems with the handlebars (also Cinelli) not staying put after having the bike for about a year. I cranked so hard on the tightening bolt that I rounded out the allen hole in the bolt. Luckily I found a replacement bolt at a local pro shop. I haven't had any problems since because I 1) slightly deepened the grooves in the handlebars, and 2) thoroughly cleaned the grooved surface of the wedge piece, and 3) liberally greased the wedge surfaces that translate the force from upward to forward.

I have done the same. It is an improvement.

Ok, decision made. The Pinocchio stem came in today and I like it. More importantly it's the fit I need. Then I swapped on a different Fizik saddle and the best looking Campagnolo Aero seatpost I have. I still need to do one final measure on the stem, think it's going to come up about just a tad still.

The 18mm seatpost binder need two washers on it to work properly. Got a 16mm on order now and on the way. Blue bottle cage bolts are in but I'm waiting for the yellow alloy bottle cages. The yellow ones I have are just two orange for this bike. Oh, and while I had plenty of DT cable stops on hand they were for a concave tube. This is pretty much flat where the bosses are so I had to find the right ones. Should see those next week. Otherwise it's ready to build. Just have to see if Look every made any special Keo pedals in a color scheme that would work for this.

This is it tonight with the new stem and swapped saddle, seatpost.

Great pic of a sweet bike, with 'purpose' and stance to boot.

I like! Usually that design of a stem looks out of place on a round tube bike. Here is fits well and the same opinion holds for that crank! Colors look great too. I would ride that bike, if it were bigger!

RIght?!

I just wish I had a set of "deeper" silver rims for it. Something like what's on the Paletti.
