Interesting note: Apparently BF has gone the way of much of public discourse, and banned any images of devices that accelerate projectiles via expanding gasses. I posted several such images and they were promptly removed. Apparently the mods only look at newly-posted images. I won't make any other comment, just good to know...

About three years ago, I finally bought a car that I really wanted.........To hell with practicality and all that other sensible stuff!!
Been having a blast since, modding it up, exactly to how I want it and driving it!


I also have an "on and off" hobby collecting diecast model cars and plane models for about 20 years now......
This one is of a 1923 Ford Trimotor and a 1930's "Count Trossi" Mercedes Roadster, both in 1:24 scale.....
I still buy models in 1:18 and 1:24 scale once in a while to add to my collection, but I'm pretty much getting close to having all the must haves I had on my list already.....

I've been learning accordion slowly during lockdown.
I played for about 3 months around 40 years back during summer holidays from univerity, then the accordion was 'lost' somewhere in my parents house.
Then I found this on Ebay a couple of years back and overhauled it fully:




1959 Hohner Lucia IV P (LMMH 96 bass)

Roll forwards a couple of years and I've now got 4 accordions.
Quite handy for wet weather.

Yeah, I'm not much of a convertible fan, such as the Z3.
But I've always been a big fan of the Z3 Coupe ever since it came out in 1999; never could afford one.
I've been actively looking for Z3 Coupe for the last 10-12 years,
only waited until the pandemic hit, quarantine in place that prices went down significantly.
Found this (non-M) California, one owner car with low mileage.
Getting older, not cycling as much, I sold some bicycles so I can buy this one, I guess it could be a mid-life crisis purchase.
I really like it, I think it's a keeper.

Palms ….like a bunch, until I ran out of room! Now , it is my bikes and cycling related stuff. The bike thing will be slowing down quite a bit because we are remodeling our kitchen. I will still be riding a lot , just not buying as much.

Recently I got into watch "moding" . Moding is just changing stuff like the hands , face , bezel , movement that kind of stuff . I wanted a Seiko SKX diver , these days that watch will set you back $500. It's discontinued but you can still get a new one on Amazon . $500. was a little steep for me , so like my C&V bikes I built it a little at a time . After watching many Youtube videos I got started , first was to get the watch case , there is a guy in the Philippines that sells everything except the movement , he is sanctioned by Seiko to make their stuff and he sells it cheap . Next I got the movement from a local seller that caters to moders . And the best part I got to buy a bunch of tools . Here is the first build . Note things don't line up at 12'oclock , out of my control !

Here is the final build all I did was change the hands and the bezel and the chapter ring . The day wheel still doesn't line up but I got the 12'oclock and the lume pip to line up , by luck .

I used to spend big on high quality die cast models of classic (Mostly 70's and 80's) race cars, till prices went sky high in the last few years, because of rising living standards/wages in China where they were mostly made, so it did make any sense for me anymore.
These days I mostly spend my money on tools for my bike builds and for maintenance and mods on my 2019 Mazda MX-5 RF GTS. I wish I could have done more of my tools acquisition much earlier in life though, because I might be gone before I get to really use some of them.

Paying for fuel chasing my softball playing daughter. About an 80% chance funds will start getting drained by this project. My dad wants to do it with me and says it would be his last father son project. I was already trying to move some bikes. Maybe need to move a few other things as well.

Actually, despite the looks,it's very solid. Only one portion of the floor needs to be replaced. Quarter panels, fenders, bottom of the doors and tailgate are all good.
