Question Shimano Nexus Internal Hub

Hi everyone, I have a Genesis bike (Day One) with a 8 speed Shimano Nexus internal hub. Currently the bike is set up to change gear via a Jtek Bar End Shifter Mk2. I'm not really getting on very well with the set up and wondered whether it was possible to change the shifter to something more similar to a shifter on your brake handle like you would find on a road bike? Does anyone know if this is doable or not? Many Thanks

I'm not aware that Nexus 8-speed hub being compatible with Road bike type STI levers, usually the Nexus 8-speed hub is paired with the REVO shifter intergraded with MTB type brake levers, similar to Grip-Shift.

This is a kit to use di2 with an alfine hub. I don't know if it is available, or if something similar exists for nexus.

There is a Microshift 'brifter' that is compatible with the Alfine8 and Nexus8 hubs

https://www.microshift.com/models/sb-n080/

Finding one may be a challenge...
