Does somebody know what model this Bianchi is? Looks like a lot of bike for the price.

I'm not sure about this. If somebody intends to offer a significantly lower number than my listing price, I would like to know about it before I take the time to show him the bike. Otherwise, it would probably be a waste of his time and mine. We all know that CL is rife with this.

That is a pretty bike. I don't think it's anything high-end (maybe mid-range at best) but the Super Record RD - which probably isn't original to the bike - is a nice upgrade.

Looks like there's a model name on the top tube; you should ask the seller what it says (I can't make it out myself).

No disagreement. Before I ask a seller to take the time, I'll ask how negotiable they are on the price. And if I'm the seller, then I won't make any significant time investment before teasing out how high a prospective buyer is willing to go (if not full asking price).

Totally agree, I always get in the ballpark with a seller of what I'm willing to pay before the seeing the bike. I would never go look at one and then offer a way lower price, assuming the bike was in the condition promised. As an occasional seller I always make sure this is clear to prospective buyers too, I dont want someone wasting my time hitting me with some lowball offer after we've gone to the effort of meeting up.

This particular seller is a well known flipper in the Encinitas area. He has lots of good to excellent bikes, and usually prices them pretty fairly, but he's a P-I-T-A to deal with. If you call him, he won't set up a meeting with you unless you are very specific about what you are looking for, and that your budget reaches up to the level he's asking for that specific bike. I once made the mistake of telling him I was interested in TWO of the bikes he had on offer - one was a LeMonde of unspecified model and size, with no pictures, and one was a nice Davidson that was well described and photographed and fairly priced. He went ballistic on me and accused me of wasting his time because I didn't know what I was looking for - and he ended up putting my number on block and won't take my calls anymore - when frankly, there was a good chance I'd have bought the Davidson.

Weird. I've met him and bought from him. No problems whatsoever and was very nice and willing to drag extra bikes out for me and listened to my criticism of some of his bikes and my pricing suggestions. Completely opposite experience than yours. I'd buy from him again for sure.

I've belatedly come to the realization that there was something sketchy about the LeMond that he was selling with no real identifying info and no pictures - contrary to all of the other listings this seller puts out, and the fact that I kept pushing him for specific details about that bike - which he continually blew off - is what made him treat me that way. When he listed the Davidson the next day, with tons of pics and good info, my interest was re-directed to that bike, and I was about to come look at it. Then I made the mistake of asking him, while I was going to check out the Davidson, could I also look at the LeMond at the same time. That's when he blew a gasket on me. I suspect maybe the LeMond was a stolen bike, and I was being too nosey about it, that set him off

I think 'bici da corsa' is Italian for "made ya look!".

Vintage Raleigh Mixte SuperRecord (claim is in very mint condition)

Gran Sport:

VINTAGE Raleigh 10* SPEED Bicycle. UGLY, BUT IT WORKS, MOSTLY
$45 Grand Prix, needs a new cog cluster most likely.

Yellow Raleigh Sport 3 speed:

A yellow 3-speed Raleigh sounds nice.
