Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It folds up to nothing. If the ride is cool to start then gets warmer, it stows easily. If there's a threat of rain, you bring it along. I also use it as another layer. Thanksgiving started at 22, so I had a ss base layer, a long sleeve jersey, that coat and a vest. The vest is for extra pockets, and the coat and Toko over mitts were put away halfway into the ride.

Electric gloves were fine for temps around freezing. I have some doubts about temps well below freezing, but will wait to try them then.

Like many on BF, I got an email from Specialized advertising stuff for sale for the holidays. My wife would like to have a new machine so I followed the links in the email to the bikes for sale section of their website. Of course, they have no bikes available in any size for a Roubaix or S-Works with Di2. None. I’ve had the same result with emails from other bike manufacturers and I understand about supply problems, blah, blah, blah.

I guess they don’t want us to forget they exist even though they don’t have bikes to sell anymore.

My last infusion was five weeks ago. I just realized that thereafter, I failed to put my driver's license back with the other cards. So I've been driving most of that time without a license.

Oops.

Good thing I'm a model driver!

They know that I want the metallic white Evade with maroon trim, so they've obviously not going to put that on sale.

On the Tour de Jersey, there were lots of drivers cruising in the left lane at 55. That’s despite big signs stating “Slower Traffic Keep Right.” Sigh.

Hard to say. Self-proclaimed model drivers take it upon themselves to regulate traffic as they see fit.
