Shimano Shift Lever Replacement Compatibility

Does anyone know if this Shimano 105-5700 lever assembly can be mounted and work in the Ultegra 6700 Triple shifter body (or "bracket" as Shimano calls it)? Shimano 105 SparePart ST-5703-L Main Shifter/brake Lever Assy, Left, Black | eBay Long story why I want to do this so I'll spare everyone the 1000 word explanation and don't have the lever on hand to try it myself. Shimano doesn't give the "yes" approval on their compatibility chart but we know that doesn't always mean no. They sure look like they might fit but not enough proof to buy the lever. Thanks

Click the blue drop down arrow on item #1 at the right of the page. Seems to me they are saying it's compatible if yours is the ST-6703.

But I'm not say nothing is for certain.

Wow, great find. It sure seems to suggest that they are compatible but.....maybe not. I'll shoot Shimano an email and hope for the best. Thanks.
